Authenticated service interruption via invalid-address read
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Improper input validation in affected CODESYS products allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through CmpAppBP. The component parses inconsistent fields in crafted CODESYS protocol requests without validating their relationships, then reads internally from an invalid address. A valid product login is required; triggering the read can stop the affected controller runtime, and no confidentiality or integrity effect is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
