Service interruption via invalid-address read
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Improper input validation in CODESYS Control V3 before 3.5.19.20 or 4.10.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. CmpAppBP accepts CODESYS-protocol requests whose fields contain inconsistent content and uses them to read from an invalid internal address. A valid user login and network access to the communication server are required; successful exploitation disrupts runtime availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
