CVE-2023-37549Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via invalid-address read

Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024

Improper input validation in CODESYS Control runtimes before 3.5.19.20 or 4.10.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. CmpApp accepts crafted CODESYS protocol requests with inconsistent content and reads internally from an invalid address. A valid product login is required; successful exploitation disrupts availability, but the vendor does not specify whether the service hangs or crashes.
