Insecure storage in HCL Sametime Chat before 12.0.2 allows local users to access sensitive data through optional Secure Storage. The Connect desktop client includes Eclipse Secure Storage without using or requiring it, and HCL has not disclosed how stored values become exposed. Local low-privileged access, user interaction, and deliberate use of the optional feature are required; the disclosed consequence is sensitive-data exposure.
