Data exfiltration via stored Gather Status XSS
Published Dec 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in HCL BigFix Platform 9.5.x, 10.0.x, and 11.0.0 allows remote attackers to exfiltrate data through Gather Status Report. The relay-served report renders stored attacker-supplied content, but HCL has not identified the input field or missing output-encoding operation. The report exists on Windows, not Linux; no account is required to plant content, but a user must open it in a browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
