Sensitive information disclosure via unblurred task-switcher snapshot
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 4, 2024
Information disclosure in HCL Traveler Companion before 12.0.6 allows local users to view sensitive mail in an iOS task-switcher snapshot. When iOS backgrounds the app, its lifecycle handling leaves the captured interface unblurred instead of obscuring displayed content. Access requires local use of the unlocked device and exposes only content visible in the retained snapshot, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
