Password recovery via weak Internet password hashes
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Weak password hashing in HCL Domino 9, 10, 11, and 12 allows attackers with hash access to recover Internet user passwords. The Add Person action in Domino Administrator stores the Internet Password field in the resulting Person document with a cryptographically weak hash. Access to the stored hash and offline brute-force work are required; Person documents created through user registration are unaffected.
