Unauthorized server registration via memory aliasing
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Improper authorization in SAP Message Server Kernel 7.22 through 7.77 allows remote authenticated users to enter SAP system networks. A memory-aliasing error writes the wrong value into an OS register, causing a later condition to accept hosts instead of enforcing ACL_INFO. The bypass requires an IP address in ACL_INFO, trace level above 1, and disabled secure communications; an unapproved server can then register, enabling data reads, writes, or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
