Admin UI denial of service via SVG bombs
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 18, 2024
Uncontrolled recursion in Ethyca Fides 2.11.0 through 2.15.1 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the Admin UI. The connector template save path accepts an SVG from an uploaded ZIP and base64-encodes it without safe XML parsing, so nested entities expand when the new-connector page renders the icon. A root or owner account with the CONNECTOR_TEMPLATE_REGISTER scope is required; a crafted template exhausts resources in browser tabs and persistently blocks that page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
