Authenticated browser script execution via stored XSS
Published Aug 22, 2023 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
Stored XSS in the HPE Networking EdgeConnect Orchestrator web interface allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts. HPE has not disclosed the input field or storage path that accepts attacker-controlled markup and later renders it without adequate neutralization. An authenticated attacker must store the payload and an administrative user must view the affected interface; execution occurs in that interface's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=Orchestrator 9.1.x <=<=9.1.7
- Affected versionversion=Orchestrator 9.2.x <=<=9.2.5
