Plugin rating dismissal via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Codexin Technologies Media Library Helper 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss its rating via a forged request. The rate_the_plugin_action function accepts the state-changing request without correct WordPress nonce validation. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to dismissing the plugin rating.
