Type confusion in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted STP files. The STP parser inadequately validates user-supplied data before accessing a resource through an incompatible type. V2201 before V2201.0008 and V2302 before V2302.0002 are affected; exploitation requires the target to open the file and grants execution in the current process.
