Stack overflow in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 and V2302 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted STP file. The STP parser copies user-supplied data into a stack buffer without validating its length, permitting a write beyond the buffer boundary. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open the file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
