XML external entity injection in WS-Inc J WBEM Server 4.x before 4.7.5 allows context-dependent attackers to read files or interrupt service. The CIM-XML protocol adapter leaves XML entity resolution enabled, so crafted document type definitions can resolve local files, external URLs, or resource-consuming entities. Exposure requires attacker-controlled CIM-XML input to reach the adapter; successful requests disclose server files, trigger server-side requests, or exhaust processing resources.
