CVE-2023-37296

Unauthenticated BMC compromise via stack memory corruption

Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in AMI MegaRAC SP-X 12 before 12.7 and 13 before 13.6 allows remote attackers to corrupt BMC memory. AMI has not disclosed the affected BMC routine, the input that reaches it, or the operation that overwrites the stack buffer. Reachability is limited to an adjacent network, but no credentials or user interaction are required; successful corruption can expose or alter data or interrupt the BMC.
