Unauthenticated BMC compromise via adjacent-network heap corruption
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Heap overflow in AMI MegaRAC SP-X 12 before 12.7 and 13 before 13.6 allows remote attackers to corrupt BMC memory on an adjacent network. AMI has not disclosed the affected BMC component, the input that reaches it, or the operation that writes beyond the heap buffer. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access, no authentication, and high complexity; successful attacks can compromise confidentiality, integrity, or availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
