Unauthenticated BMC compromise via stack buffer overflow
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Stack overflow in AMI MegaRAC SP-X 12 before 12.7 and 13 before 13.6 allows remote attackers to compromise the BMC. AMI has not disclosed the affected BMC service, input field, or unsafe operation that overruns the stack buffer. No credentials or user interaction are required, but access to an adjacent network is required; exploitation compromises BMC confidentiality, integrity, or availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
