Authenticated file disclosure via unfiltered path parameter
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in SmartBPM.NET 6.70 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary system files through its file-download feature. The download handler fails to filter special characters from the supplied path parameter before resolving and returning the requested file. A valid login is required, and the published impact is limited to disclosure of files readable by the service.
