Server crash via unbounded days parameter
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Denial of service in the Faktory web dashboard before 1.8.0 allows remote attackers to crash the server via a crafted days query. The dashboard parses the days URL parameter without a range check and uses the resulting excessive value to size a string slice, exhausting memory. The dashboard must be network-accessible, but no authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is an out-of-memory server exit.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
