CVE-2023-37270Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped User-Agent logging

Published Jul 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 18, 2024

SQL injection in Piwigo before 13.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL via a crafted User-Agent header. The identification.php login path passes the header into activity logging, where mass_inserts encloses it in SQL without escaping special characters. Access to the administrator screen, even with low privileges, is required; successful exploitation exposes database data to reading or modification.
