CVE-2023-37268Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via mismatched SSO session binding

Published Jul 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 18, 2024

Improper authentication in Warptech Industries Warpgate before 0.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to assume another user's session. The SSO callback validated a returned credential for one username but added it to preexisting login state without verifying that the state's username matched. Exploitation requires an attacker account, a victim username, successful attacker SSO authentication, and a victim account without a second factor.
