Restricted-field disclosure via unchecked relationship titles
Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Information disclosure in Strapi before 4.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to view restricted fields through relationship titles. The content-manager relation endpoint omits RBAC checks, allowing a private or sensitive field selected as an entity title to be returned in the edit view. Exploitation requires an authenticated admin-panel role with access to the related content type, and the consequence is limited to reading fields denied to that role.
