Code execution via unchecked PAR buffer copy
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 before V2201.0008 or V2302 before V2302.0002 allows attackers to execute code. The PAR parser copies user-supplied data into a heap-based buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious PAR file, after which code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
