CVE-2023-37204Network attack vector

UI spoofing via delayed fullscreen notification

Published Jul 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

UI spoofing in Mozilla Firefox before 115 allows remote attackers to obscure the fullscreen notification through a crafted website. An option element is combined with an expensive computational function that delays rendering long enough to cover the browser's fullscreen warning. A user must visit the site and enter fullscreen mode; the concealed warning can make attacker-controlled content appear trustworthy and enable interface spoofing.
