CVE-2023-37200

Local file disclosure via project-file XXE

Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

XML external entity injection in EcoStruxure OPC UA Server Expert before SV2.01 SP2 allows local users to disclose sensitive files. The server parses a replaced project configuration file without adequately restricting external entity references; Schneider Electric has not identified the parser or code path. Exploitation requires local filesystem replacement of the project file and a manual server restart, and the reported consequence is host-file disclosure without integrity or availability impact.
