Remote code execution via tampered backup restoration
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Code injection in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure IT Data Center Expert 7.9.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The backup restoration path restores administrator-tampered content without adequately controlling code generation; Schneider Electric has not identified the exact parser or function. Administrator access is required to alter the backup, and a separate manual restore must occur before the injected code executes on the DCE server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
