Improper access control in Siemens SIMATIC CP 1604, 1616, 1623, 1626, and 1628 allows local users to execute arbitrary host code. The devices expose host kernel memory to user mode through direct memory access instead of restricting DMA mappings to authorized kernel access. Administrative privileges and local access are required; successful exploitation crosses the user-to-kernel memory boundary and permits unrestricted code execution on the host.
