Script execution via unencoded group fields
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
Stored XSS in Issabel PBX 4.0.0-6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted Group or Description values. The Users/Groups interface stores these fields without adequate sanitization or output encoding and renders them as active markup in later page views. Exploitation requires an account permitted to manage groups and a victim to open the affected page, where the payload runs in that victim's browser context.
