Remote command execution via admuser shell injection
Published Jul 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A3300R V17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via admuser. The setPasswordCfg handler passes admuser to Uci_Set_Str, which concatenates it into a uci command that CsteSystem sends to execv. The network-accessible HTTP handler is the gate, and successful injection executes commands with the router management service's privileges.
