Browser script execution via reflected cat_id input
Published Jul 20, 2023 · Updated Oct 24, 2024
Reflected XSS in the shop search in Diafan CMS 6.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted URL. The /shop/ search endpoint reflects the cat_id query parameter into its HTML response without neutralizing script markup, turning attacker input into executable page content. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the site's browser origin and can read or alter accessible page data.
