Administrator account takeover via forged password update
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 20, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in YznCMS 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to change the administrator password through a crafted POST request. The /public/admin/profile/update.html handler processes the password update without verifying that the authenticated administrator initiated the request. Exploitation requires user interaction in an active administrator session and gives the attacker control of that administrator account.
