Admin-authored stored XSS via unfiltered usergroup fields
Published Jul 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Chamilo 1.11.0 through 1.11.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. UserGroup::setForm() creates the name and URL controls with generic addElement() calls and applies only trimming, omitting the HTML filtering provided by addText(). Administrator privileges are required to save a payload, and execution requires another user to view the affected group data, exposing that user's Chamilo session to script actions.
