Stored XSS via unfiltered skill profile fields
Published Jul 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
Stored XSS in Chamilo 1.11.0 through 1.11.20 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute script via skill profiles. The updateProfileInfo() and save() paths in main/inc/lib/skill.lib.php persist profile names and descriptions without HTML filtering, allowing crafted markup to reach the skills wheel. Administrator access is required to store the payload, and execution depends on another user viewing the affected skills-wheel content.
