CVE-2023-3698Network attack vector

Authenticated file deletion via path traversal

Published Aug 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024

Path traversal in ASUSTOR ADM 4.2.2.RI61 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete files through its printer service. The service accepts a user-controlled deletion path without constraining its resolution to the printer service's intended directory tree. Network access with low privileges is required, and the consequence is attacker-chosen file deletion on affected NAS devices.
