Browser script execution via unsanitized website title
Published Jul 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Online Fire Reporting System 1.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a visitor's browser. The website-title handling accepts a crafted value and renders it as active HTML or script rather than neutralizing it for page output. Execution requires another user to load the affected page, allowing the payload to act in that user's browser context and read or alter page-visible data.
