Buffer over-read in the Windows kernel allows local users on affected Windows builds to disclose paged-pool memory through registry operations. VrpUpdateKeyInformation reads beyond a registry-virtualization buffer and returns adjacent paged-pool contents to user mode. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access and affects confidentiality only, without reported code execution or service interruption.
