CVE-2023-36751Network attack vector

Root code execution via unsanitized install-app parameter

Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Command injection in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX before 2.16.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code with root privileges. The web interface passes the install-app URL parameter toward command execution without server-side input sanitization. Privileged web-interface access is required, and successful exploitation grants root-level control of the affected network appliance.
