Traffic interception via TLS 1.0 support
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Use of TLS 1.0 in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX devices before 2.16.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read and modify web traffic. The embedded web server negotiates obsolete TLS 1.0, exposing intercepted management sessions to protocol protections that lack adequate confidentiality and integrity. Exploitation requires control of the network path between a management client and the device; no service interruption is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
