Cleartext traffic exposure in Clario VPN through 5.9.1.1662 for macOS allows man-in-the-middle attackers to deanonymize users. The client installs a host route that exempts every packet to the VPN server IP, rather than only its own tunnel packets, from VPN protection. Exploitation requires control of the network path and DNS before tunnel setup; exposed plaintext and destination metadata can be read.
