CVE-2023-36669Network attack vector

Arbitrary antenna control via unauthenticated TPU requests

Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Missing authentication in Kratos NGC Indoor Unit (IDU) before 11.4 allows remote attackers to take arbitrary control via crafted TCP requests. The IDU's TCP control interface accepts crafted requests as if they came from the trusted Touch Panel Unit without authenticating the sender. Layer-3 network access is sufficient to impersonate the TPU and control the connected IDU/ODU antenna system.
