Unauthenticated file disclosure via admin UI traversal
Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Path traversal in the Windows admin UI of Couchbase Server 2.0.0 through 7.1.4 and 7.2.0 allows remote attackers to read files. The UI accepts appended folder and file segments as a filesystem path and displays the referenced file without authentication. Network reachability to the Windows admin UI is sufficient; disclosure is limited to files the Couchbase service account can access.
