Stored XSS via unescaped database fields
Published Jun 25, 2023 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in INEX IXP Manager before 6.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a superadmin's browser. Multiple Foil templates render console-server, role, tag, customer, and log-record fields directly into HTML without contextual escaping. Exploitation requires a non-admin user to place a crafted value in a logged database object and persuade a superadmin to open the UI log, enabling browser-session data access or actions with that viewer's privileges.
