CVE-2023-3665

Local code execution via AMSI environment variables

Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024

Code injection in Trellix Endpoint Security 10.7.0 April 2023 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The ENS AMSI component trusts attacker-controlled environment variables, allowing its scanning integration to be disabled before injected code runs. Low-privileged local access is required, and the same path can instead interrupt AMSI protection on the endpoint.
