Unauthenticated role impersonation via hard-coded JWT key

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Authentication bypass in ProLion CryptoSpike 3.0.15P2 allows remote attackers to impersonate arbitrary users and roles via crafted JWTs. A private signing key embedded in the product lets attackers create JWT authentication tokens that its web management and REST API trust as valid. No prior authentication or user interaction is required, and forged role claims grant the corresponding application privileges.
