Path manipulation in Fortinet FortiAP-U 7.0.0 and specified 5.4, 6.0, and 6.2 releases allows local users to delete arbitrary files. The command-line interpreter incompletely filters special path elements in crafted command arguments, allowing names outside the intended scope to reach file-listing and deletion operations. Authenticated CLI access is required; exploitation exposes filesystem names and can remove arbitrary files or directories on the appliance.
