Administrative code execution via forged login status
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in cashIT! 03.A06rks 2023.02.37 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through an HTTP endpoint. The datalink API accepts user-controlled login_status, cmd_mode, and dosline values, bypasses the login-status check, and sends dosline to its DOSCMD handler. No authentication or user interaction is required, and commands run with administrative privileges on the underlying Windows server, enabling complete host takeover.
