Unauthenticated station login via spoofed Host header
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Origin validation error in cashIT! 03.A06rks 2023.02.37 and earlier allows remote attackers to access management via a Host header. The authentication logic trusts the request URL hostname to classify origin, so Host: localhost makes a remote request follow localhost authentication. Network exposure of the optional management HTTP service is required; the bypass enables station login without a keycode and logins by accounts lacking remote-access permission.
