Stored XSS via unsanitized menu link
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Stored XSS in Wow-Company Bubble Menu before 3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a saved menu link. The Add New menu form accepts a javascript URI in its Link field and renders that stored value in the front-end bubble menu without adequate link sanitization. Administrator-level access is required to save the payload, and another user must click the malicious menu item; multisite sites remain exposed when unfiltered_html is disabled.
