Administrator-triggered code execution via allowed form controls
Published Jun 29, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Injection in XWiki Commons 14.6-rc-1 through 14.10.5 and 15.0-rc-1 through 15.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. HTMLDefinitions allowlists form, input, select, textarea, and button elements in restricted mode, so a hidden content field can carry Groovy markup into an edit submission. The attacker needs document-editing access, and code executes only after an administrator submits the crafted sheet form.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
