Authenticated code execution via rendered RSS feed
Published Jun 29, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Code injection in XWiki Platform 9.6-rc-1 through 14.10.5 and 15.0-rc-1 through 15.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. NotificationRSSService passes attacker-controlled notification text through XWiki rendering transformations, causing macro directives embedded in a profile name to be evaluated instead of emitted as data. Access to edit a personal profile and notification settings is sufficient to run server-side Groovy or Python and read or write all wiki contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
